Louis de Broglie |
|
Louis de Broglie, August 15th, 1892 - March 19th, 1987, won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1929 for his discovery that electrons have properties of both waves and particles. There are a group of waves named after de Broglie. They are called de Broglie waves, also known as matter waves.
A fun fact about Louis de Broglie is that he was the first man to be awarded the Kalinga Prize by UNESCO. How titillating!
